10 28       ARRESTED AGAIN

For the second time Fred Bittner, who conducts a saloon on North Fourth Street, was arrested on complaint of Wm. G. Cody for keeping his saloon open on Sunday, October 3rd.  The first time he was arrested his case came up before Justice Buss at Jefferson and a change of venue was taken to Justice Rohr’s court in this city when the action was dismissed because the complaining witness did not give bond for costs.  On Friday of last week Mr. Bittner was taken before Justice Fargo at Lake Mills and a change of venue was taken to Justice Stoppenbach at Jefferson, before whom the case comes up for trial on November 1st.      Watertown Gazette, 10 28 1915
