Wendt - Bliefernicht

1950

 

St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Richwood, was the setting of nuptial high Mass July 15, 1950, uniting in marriage Lucille M. Wendt and Henry J. Bliefernicht. Officiating at the rites was the Rev. George A. Dolan, CSC.

 

The bride, daughter of Mr. and, Mrs. Otto A. Wendt, 301 East Water Street, was given away by her father.

 

The matron of honor was Cora (Mrs. Edward) Bliefernicht, of Watertown, sister-in-law of the groom.  Bridesmaids were Mary (Mrs. Merlin) Riedl, sister of the groom, and Miss Sylvia Wendt, sister of the bride, both of Watertown.

 

Patricia Riedl, niece of the groom, was flower girl and Charles Bliefernicht was ring bearer for his uncle.

 

Best man for his brother was Edward Bliefernicht. Other attendants were Merlin Riedl, brother-in-law of the groom and Otto J. Wendt, brother of the bride. All were of Watertown. Ushers were Robert Lessner and William Peirick, both of Watertown.

 

Miss Sylvia Wendt was soloist for her sister, singing "Panis Angelicus" and "Ave Maria." Miss Marie Quinn was organist for the ceremony and also accompanied Miss Wendt.

 

The groom is employed at the Brandt Automatic Cashier Co. The bride was formerly employed as an office clerk at the Brandt Automatic Cashier Co.

 

The couple made their home on route 7, Watertown.
