Mary Klecker - James Engel

1951

 

Mary F. Klecker became a June bride when she exchanged vows with James L. Engel in St. Henry's Catholic Church on June 2, 1951. The Rev. Joseph E. Brasky, Mayville, uncle of the bride, officiated at the ceremony.

 

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Klecker, Route 1, and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jess Engel, 3245 Winnequah Road, Madison.

 

Miss Rose Ann Klecker was her sister's maid of honor and bridesmaid was Miss Catherine Graham.

 

Harlan Engel, brother of the groom, was best man. The other attendant was Joseph Klecker, brother of the bride. Ushers were Paul Klecker and John Courchane.

 

The wedding dinner was served at the Green Bowl and was followed by an afternoon reception there.

 

A graduate of East High School, Madison, Mr. Engel was employed in the plant department of the Wisconsin Telephone Co.  His bride graduated from Watertown High School and was employed in the commercial department of the telephone company.

 

The newlyweds resided in Madison.
