Helen Linger

1917 - 2007

 

Helen M. Linger, 90, of Jefferson, formerly of Watertown, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at Sylvan Crossings in Jefferson.

 

Helen Meyer was born on July 21, 1917, in Watertown, the daughter of Percy and Selma (Breunig) Meyer. She was a graduate of Watertown Senior High School. Helen had been employed by Miller Auto Parts and Durant/Eaton Corp. both of Watertown and she had been a hostess at Chuck's Supper Club in Oconomowoc and the former East Gate Inn in Watertown. Helen was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and a former choir member of the church and a former member of the Madison Chapter of the National Secretary's Association. She was also a member of the Red Hatters at Sylvan Crossing.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen (Ron Maas) Neuman of Watertown; a granddaughter, Diane (Justin) Hamilton of Watertown; a great-granddaughter, Janelle Hamilton; other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church with Father Brian Wilk officiating. Family burial will be in St. Henry Cemetery at a later date. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Memorials to St. Henry Church or school would be appreciated.
