Wenzel Kreuziger

Kreuziger, 612 North Second Street, died
He was
a native of Landskron, Bohemia, where he was born on
He
came to this country in April, 1867, bringing with him his wife and the three
children, who were born in Germany.
Mr. Kreuziger settled on a farm in the town of Shields near
Richwood. The family resided there for five years, then nineteen years in the
town of Clyman, eight years in the town of Emmet, and
for the last seventeen years in Watertown.
His
widowed wife Anna died a few months afterwards,
on
Funeral
services were held at St Henry’s.
Interment was in St. Henry's
Cemetery.

Wenzel Kreuziger and wife celebrated the 50th anniversary of their
marriage last Monday at their home, 612 North Second Street, only relatives
being present. In the morning Mass was
celebrated at St. Henry's Church by Rev. Father Schweitzer in
honor of the event. Mr. and Mrs. Krenziger were married in Germany on November 9, 1858, and
came to America in 1867, and since then have resided on farms in Shields, Clyman and Emmet, removing to this city in 1899. Mr. Kreuziger is 74
years and his wife 79, and both are enjoying excellent health. They are the parents of six children, John of
Milwaukee, Wenzel of Clyman, Emil and Edward of
Emmet, Mrs. George Engelhardt of Hubbleton, and Miss
Mary Engelhardt of Watertown. There are
also 26 grandchildren. Their many
friends wish this venerable couple many happy returns of their wedding day.
