Christine M. Huhti

1941 - 2008

 

Christine M. Huhti, 66, of Watertown, died February 4, 2008, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown with the Rev. Father Brian Wilk officiating. Burial will be in St. Henry Cemetery, Watertown.

 

Visitation is at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

 

The Pederson Funeral Home of Watertown is serving the family.

 

The former Christine Klecker was born July 1, 1941, in Watertown, daughter of Fred and Olive (Giese) Klecker. She married Dale Huhti on May 1, 1964, at St. Henry Catholic Church.

 

Christine was a 1959 graduate of Watertown High School, was a licensed practical nurse and worked most recently at the Counseling Center of Watertown.

 

Christine was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and the Sewing Sisters Club. She was a very active volunteer in the Watertown area. She loved bird watching, gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends.

 

Surviving are her husband, Dale Huhti of Watertown; two sons, Dan Huhti of Juneau and Tom Huhti of Madison; a daughter, Michelle (John) Humphrey of Evanston, Ill.; three brothers, Jack (Terri) Klecker of Saugus, Mass., and Jim (Kate) Klecker and Don (Pat) Klecker, both of Watertown; a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents.
