Chris Huhti Bridge

Watertown's Main Street Bridge will be known as the Chris Huhti Bridge for the next year.

The bridge was named after Huhti for her support of the Counseling Center of Watertown, her volunteer work with teens and her activities at her church.

Huhti, a registered nurse, is involved in a variety of activities devoted to strengthening the faith of her fellow parishioners at St. Henry’s Catholic Church. She has taught confirmation classes, she has organized and prepared meals for church funerals and is a communion server. She was a den mother for the congregation's Cub Scouts and she has been a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program.

She has been active with the Counseling Center of Watertown, formerly the Watertown Women's Center, first as a volunteer, then as a paid worker and finally as a member of the board of directors.
