Mrs. Barbara Heiling, former Watertown resident and widow of John Heiling, died August 14, 1936, in Clyman at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward Kasper.  She had made her home there since leaving Watertown ten years earlier.  For the last nine years she had been an invalid.  Her husband died in 1924.

A native of Pilgersdorf, Hungary, she was 90 years of age.  Her maiden name was Puhr.  She was married abroad and came to this country with her husband and family, taking up residence on a farm in Tower City, N. D.  Later they came to Watertown and she lived here about 20 years.

Besides Mrs. Kasper, there is one other daughter and two sons, all of Valley City, N. D.  One son died in infancy and another son died at the age of 19.

Mrs. Heiling was the last member of her family.  She was well known and during her years of residence attended St. Henry’s.

The body was brought to the Boyle Funeral Home and then taken to the Kasper residence.  The funeral was held from there with services in St. John’s Catholic Church in Clyman.  Burial was in St. Henry’s Cemetery in Watertown.
