James Weithaus

1939 - 2001

 

James E. Weithaus, age 61 of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2001 in Germantown, WI.

 

Funeral services were at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home with Father Bernard Rott officiating.  Mr. Weithaus was not a member of St. Henry’s Parish.  Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

 

Memorials to Burlington St. Mary's Central Catholic High School, Slinger High School Girls Basketball Team or Slinger High School Marching Band were appreciated.

 

James was born on December 10, 1939 in Burlington, the son of Leslie and Gertrude (Reilly) Weithaus. He was a graduate of Burlington St. Mary's High School in 1958. He served in the US Army from 1958 to 1961. Jim was employed by F. Dohlman Co. of Germantown. He was an avid high school and college sports fan, especially for Slinger High School.

 

Survivors included his daughters Gwendolyn Weithaus of Brookfield and Rebecca Weithaus of Watertown, his mother Gertrude Weithaus of Burlington, his brothers Kenneth (Denise) Weithaus of Mukwonago and Joseph (Patricia) Weithaus of Burlington, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded by his father and one brother John Weithaus.
