Mrs. Lisaina Wegemann, widow of O.A. Wegemann, 710 Western Avenue, died Saturday afternoon at 4
o’clock at her home following a lingering illness.
Born in Lebanon on
Nov. 16,1873, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lange. She was married to Mr. Wegemann
on Sept. 8, 1897. He preceded her in
death here July 2, 1938.
Mrs. Wegemann had lived here practically all her life and was
widely known in the community.
Surviving are four
children, Mrs. Herbert H. Taylor, Pryor, Okla.; Alvin Wegemann,
Denver, Colo.; Miss Ina Wegemann, at home, and Mrs.
E. A. Woelffer, Oostburg, Wis. There are seven grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters and two
brothers, the Misses Isabelle, Elgardie and Eneida Lange, Milwaukee, Edward Lange, Milwaukee, and
Charles Lange, this city.
Mrs. Wegemann is also survived by two sons-in-law, Dr. H. H. Taylor,
Erwin A. Woelffer and one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Alvin
Wegemann.
Mrs. Wegemann was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran church and of
the Ladies Aid society of that parish.
The funeral will be
held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. from the Hafemeister
funeral home, with services at 3 o’clock in St. Mark’s church. The Rev. Julius Klingmann
will officiate and burial
will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
The casket will not
be opened at the church service, but friends may call to pay their respects at
the Hafemeister funeral home Tuesday from 3 to 9 p.m.
and Wednesday up to the time of the service.
