Elmer Sturm
1921 - 2009
Elmer Sturm, 88, of Watertown, died on Sunday,
Feb. 8, 2009, at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with the Rev. Barbara Berg of Watertown Moravian Church officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Watertown.
Elmer was born on Jan. 21, 1921, son of Otto and Lidia (Eckhardt) Sturm. On Feb. 2, 1957, he married the former Elva Kasten at Watertown Moravian Church. She preceded him in death on April 28, 2005.
Elmer farmed in the town of Watertown. He was a member of Watertown
Moravian Church and Watertown Pigeon Club. He enjoyed bowling and loved his pets.
Elmer is survived by two brothers-in-law, Lloyd
Herold of Watertown and Herb Smith of King; a sister-in-law, Greta Schiessl of Dubuque, Iowa; a nephew, Lee (Tracy) Herold of
Watertown; along with other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Elmer was further preceded in death by his
parents.
