Bernice Stroub

1918 - 2005

 

Bernice L. Stroub, 87, of Oshkosh, died at Evergreen Retirement Community on December 4, 2005.

 

Bernice was born in Watertown on Oct. 13, 1918, a daughter of Arthur and Louise Beneditz Krause. She married Gordon Stroub on Dec. 19, 1945, in Watertown. Bernice was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family.

 

Survivors include her husband, Gordon Stroub, Oshkosh; one daughter, Kathy (John) Gile, Rochester, Minn.; three grandchildren, Paul, Brent and Gina Gile; and one great-grandchild Ayza   Gile, all of Rochester, Minn.  Preceding her in death were   her parents; one son, Steven J. Stroub; and one sister, Ruth Schultz. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Konrad-Behiman Funeral Home-Westside with the Rev. Harry Naden officiating.

 

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. to the time of service.

 

Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown.

 

A memorial to First United Methodist Church, Oshkosh, WI 54901, has been established.
