Pearl E Strache, resident of Beverly Health care and formerly of 600 Bernard St, No 3, died Wednesday, evening, 16 September 1998 at the health care center.  Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at St Mark's Lutheran Church with the Rev Cyril Spaude officiating.  Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

 

The former Pearl Elaine Maust was born 26 October 1925 in Troy Center, daughter of John and Ethel (Kuntz) Maust.  On 7 June 1942 she married Edward Strache at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ixonia.  She was a member of St Mark's Lutheran Church and Dodge County Tavern League.  She had been employed in Aunt Nellie's Canning Company in Clyman; worked at Hartwig's in Johnson Creek and Dairy Lane in Watertown; and operated various taverns with her husband in the Dodge County area.

 

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Sharon (Richard) Peterson and Connie Manske, both of Watertown; a son, Neil (Sandy) of Verona; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by a stillborn son, Glen; a granddaughter; and two sisters, Mary Borchardt and Jeanette Stilp.
