Miss Laura Schultz

1882 - 1936

 

Died Jan 16, 1936

 

Miss Laura L. Schultz, well known resident of this city, died last night at her home, 206 North Ninth Street. She had been confined to bed since Monday. Born in the town of Milford June 24, 1882, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schultz.  Her mother died in 1920 and her father in April, 1935. A sister, Millie, died in 1924.

 

Miss Schultz had lived in Watertown for about 20 years and maintained the house for her father after her sister's death in 1924.

 

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. William Arndt and Mrs. Theodore Heitz, this city; and two brothers, Henry Schultz, Reeseville; and Edward Schultz on the homestead in the town of Milford. There are also ten nieces and nephews.

 

Miss Schultz was a member of the Moravian Church and had many friends in the community. The body was taken to the Nowack funeral home.   The funeral will be from the residence Monday at 1:30 p.m., with services in the church at 2 o'clock. The Rev. A. E. Schwarze will officiate.

 

Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
