Jeanne A. McKee

1928 - 2015

 

 

Jeanne A. McKee, age 87, of Watertown, was called home to the Lord on Monday, Aug. 3, 2015.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with the Rev. Ron Kral officiating.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the charity of one’s choice are appreciated.

 

Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family.

 

Jeanne Ann Jensch was born in Milwaukee on June 13, 1928, the daughter of Henry “Shorty” and Irma (nee Kloeden) Jensch. She was a graduate of Watertown High School and attended UW-Madison. Jeanne married Jim McKee Sr. in 1950 and together they had three children, Kathy (Brad) Bailey of Whitefish Bay, Jim McKee Jr. of Beaver Dam and Dan (Terry) McKee of Oconomowoc, who filled her heart with love, pride and joy. Jim Sr. preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 1985. Jeanne worked for her father’s business, Jensch Auto Supply, as a bookkeeper. She also worked for the Watertown Public School District for many years as well as Provimi Veal in Watertown. Jeanne loved the Green Bay Packers as well as word games and crossword puzzles. She adored her grandchildren and gave her life to her family.

 

“Grandma Kee” is fondly remembered by five grandchildren, Tim (Megan Schulist) McKee, Aaron (Mary Powers) McKee, Ryan (Christina) McKee, Andy Bailey and Amy (Matt Montes) Bailey, as well as two great-grandchildren, Emma and Evan McKee. Jeanne is further survived by one sister, Janine (Don) Erdmann of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sisters-inlaw, Rita Jensch of Watertown and Doris McKee of Colorado Springs, Colo.; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and a wealth of good friends, including caring neighbors Keith and Carol Raddatz.

 

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Henry “Shorty” and Irma; brothers, Bob and Bill Jensch; sisters-inlaw, Wilma Jensch, Carolyn Kelman, Mary Frances Delap; brothers-in-law, Al Kelman, Chuck McKee, Nick McKee, Jack Delap as well as daughter-in-law, Linda McKee.
