Mary Alma Lentz
1944- 2018
Mary Alma Lentz, 73, of Watertown, passed away in her home on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018. She spent her final days surrounded by her family.
Mary was born on Dec. 25, 1944, in Hustisford, the daughter of Paul and Clara (Walter) Schuett. She was united in marriage to Lloyd M. Lentz on June 22, 1988. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1994. Mary had a special friend of 24 years, Alvin Gunderson.
Over the years Mary worked for Midwest Shoe Company, Sealy Mattress and Baso Gas Products for the last 43 years. In Mary’s free time she enjoyed traveling, gardening, bowling, polka dancing, trips to the casino, taking walks and last but not least spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and siblings. She was family oriented.
Mary is survived by her four children, Donna (David) Lischka, Dawn (Bill) Volgmann, Deborah (Daniel) Baars, Todd Godfroy (Michelle Plaisance); eight grandchildren, Michael Lischka, Stephanie Bricco (Charlie Jilek), Andrea (Taylor) Wolff, Allen (Michelle) Stewart, Rebecca (Nicolas) Heredia, Robert (Rebecca) Stewart, Stacey Stewart, Nathan Volgmann; six great-grandchildren, Robert Stewart, Jameson Stewart, Baby Stewart due April 2019, Natalie Stewart, Makenna Stewart, Hunter Bricco; siblings, Mark (Bonnie) Schuett, Margaret Meyer, Marion (Ernie) Maas, Anna Schuett; also, Mary’s special friend Alvin Gunderson and Alvin’s children and their families, Cindy (Randy) Piskula, Doug (Maureen) Gunderson and Karen Gunderson.
Mary will be welcomed into her new life by her parents and siblings, Marlin Schuett, Martha (Edward) Retzlaff, Marcella (Francis) Godfroy, Paul Schuett Jr., Marlinder Schuett, Martin (Barb) Schuett, Marty (Shirley) Schuett, Marjorie Schuett, Marinda Schuett and Marvin (Betty) Schuett.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. Peter Wells officiating. Relatives and friends may gather at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown. Memorials, if desired, would be appreciated to the family.
