Herman E. Kaczor

1901 - 1986

 

Herman E. Kaczor, 85, Watertown, died Sunday at Watertown Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ervine Vomhof officiating.

 

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

 

Friends and relatives may call to pay their respects at the Hafemeister Funeral Home Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. and at the church Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials are suggested to St. Luke's Lutheran Church.

 

Kaczor was born April 5, 1901 in Czarnanor Muhle, West Prussia, son of Herman and Amale Kaczor. On Sept. 20, 1947 he married the former Nora Krahn at St. Luke's Lutheran Church.

 

Kaczor came to the United States in 1923. He lived in Lake Mills and was employed at the Oscar Mayer Company. He later was employed at the Otto Biefeld Company in Watertown for 29 years and as a surveyor with Richard Podolske. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, American Association of Retired Persons Chapter No. 2007, Funster Club and the Funster Band.

 

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Eva) Baumann of Fort Meyers, Fla., and Mrs. Harold (Geraldine) Baumann of Watertown, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

 

He was the last member of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers.
