Dell Ann Hackbarth, a lifelong resident of Watertown, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at Manor Care Nursing Home in Overland Park, Kan., near her daughter, Karen Audley.

 

Funeral services will be held at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Terry Larson of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown officiating.

 

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Watertown.

 

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

 

Memorials are suggested to Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 333 N. Summit St., P.O. Box 10086, Toledo, Ohio, 43699, or a hospice or charity of one's choice.

 

Dell Ann was born in Fort Atkinson on Sept. 23, 1914, daughter of Lawrence and Annette Barry.  She attended Watertown High School and married Alfred Hackbarth in 1937. He preceded Dell in death on May 18, 1970.

 

She is survived by her two daughters, Joyce Ann (James) Stallman of Wabash, Ind., and Karen (Thomas) Audley of Overland Park; six grandchildren, Janet (Greg) Kouvelas, John (Viki) Stallman, Jill Stallman, Elizabeth (Steve) Attias, Mary (Paul) Dawdy and Ann (Joe) Erskine; nine great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Katie and Stephanie Kouvelas, Shan-nan Stallman, Christopher and Katie Attias, Thomas and Sarah Dawdy and Kristina Erskine.
