Allie C. Haas age 79 of Watertown, passed
away on Friday July 12, 2013 at the University of
Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.
Aloysius “Allie” Charles Haas was born on Nov. 29, 1933, in Jefferson, the son of Aloysius “Allie” and Mary (Kemmeter) Haas. He was a 1952 graduate of the Jefferson High School. On Dec. 4, 1954, he married Stella Krause at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown. Allie operated Haas Service Station and Tavern in Jefferson for 5 years and was employed at Carnation Instant Co. in Oconomowoc for 33 years. After his retirement, he worked at D&H in Oconomowoc and at CM Global in Watertown. Allie was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown, the National Rifle Association and the Watertown Conservation Club. He enjoyed trapshooting, hunting, fishing, camping and playing cards. Allie was a very hard working man who took pride in providing for his family. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Allie is survived by his wife Stella of Watertown; six children, Steve Haas of Watertown, Lonnie (Laurel) Haas of Watertown, Dick (Julie) Haas of Clyman, Laurie (Dan) Schilling of Watertown, Allison (Mark) Knoll of Watertown and Lisa (Doug) Martin of Pipersville; his grandchildren, Jared Haas, Audra Haas, Caitlin Haas, Jason Haas, Nick Haas, Travis Haas, Cameron Haas, Tiffany Haas, Andrew Haas, Anthony (Virginia) Haas, Charlie Schilling, Tim Schilling, Steve Schilling, Heather (Tim) Bradley, Matt McDonald, Josh (Veronica) Knoll, Danielle Knoll, John Martin, Owen Martin, Elizabeth Martin, Jodell (Jamie) Ovist, and Jenny Blum; his great-grandchildren, Natalie Haas, Evelynn Bradley, Chloe Schilling and Brianna Haas, brother, Donald (Marion), sisters, Lorraine (Norbert Werner), Ethel (Harvey) Carnes, Elaine (LaVerne) Jung, Margaret (Norbert) Wedl, and Carol (Dave) Kemmerer and sister-in-law Gloria Haas; brother-in-law, Charlie Krause, son-in-laws, George Carpenter and Dave McDonald, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, daughters Penny McDonald and Sherry Carpentar; granddaughters, Cassi Haas and Lianne Knoll; his brothers Richard, Kenneth (Ardis), Russell (Joan), Gerald, Paul (Helen) and sister Shirley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown with Father Lance Schneider officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown. Relatives and friends may call at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
