Harry Gramdorf
1923 - 2008
Harry H. Gramdorf, 85, of
Watertown, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at Golden Living Center-Watertown.
Harry was born on Aug. 6, 1923, in the town of
Shields, son of Arnold and Esther (Tews) Gramdorf. He was a
1941 graduate of Watertown High School.
He married Ruth Roth on Sept. 15, 1946, at Wesley Methodist Church in
Watertown.
Harry was a tool and die maker for Wisconsin Porcelain
Co. in Sun Prairie, retiring in 1993.
Harry was a member of Door Creek Evangelical Free Church in
Madison. He loved gardening, leather crafting,
woodworking and playing guitar.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Gramdorf
of Watertown; a daughter, Marilyn Gramdorf of
Madison; a son, Darrell (Debbie) Gramdorf of
Waukesha; three granddaughters, Rachel, Rebecca and Hannah Gramdorf;
two sisters, Arlene Gramdorf of Watertown and Shirley
(Dean) Freson of Watertown; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters,
Bernice Bothum and Donna Mae Freson; and a brother,
Dean Gramdorf.
Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Pederson Funeral Home in Watertown with the Rev. Calvin Steiner officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Watertown.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today and
Thursday until the time of service at the funeral home.

Ruth G. Gramdorf
1922- 2018
Ruth G. Gramdorf, 96, of
Watertown, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at UW Hospital
in Madison.
Ruth was born on Oct. 16, 1922, the daughter of
Fernando and Gertrude (Schumacher) Roth. She was the last surviving member of her
immediate family. She married the love
of her life, Harry Gramdorf, on Sept. 15, 1946, at
the Wesley Methodist Church in Watertown.
Ruth loved her Lord and Savior and served as a Sunday
school teacher and was always willing to share her faith. She was a member of
Door Creek Church in Madison. During her
working years, she worked at Johnson Controls in Watertown. Ruth enjoyed helping others and had a passion
for spending time with her family.
Survivors include daughter Marilyn Gramdorf
of Madison, son Darrell (Debbie) Gramdorf of Waukesha
and granddaughters Rachel (Ryan), Rebecca (Peter) and Hannah (Alec).
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, brothers
Charles and Daniel, sisters Verona and Gladys.
A funeral
service will be held at noon on Thursday at the Pederson-Nowatka
Funeral Home in Watertown with the Rev. Calvin Steiner of Door Creek Church
presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m.
until the time of the service. Burial will be in
Oak Hill Cemetery, Watertown.
