Eliza A. Goodenow

Another old settler
of Watertown, Mrs. Eliza A. Goodenow, has passed to
the other shore.
Her death occurred in
Milwaukee,
Mrs. Goodenow was the relict of the late Case Goodenow, and came to Watertown, then a mere village, with
her husband in the year 1843.
She was born at
Bergen, New York,
Mrs. Goodenow leaves two sons, George and Charles, and an
adopted son, Henry.
For some years past
she had made her home in Milwaukee with the first named.
Thirty-five years
before her death she had united with the Watertown Congregational Church and
from that church of her choice her funeral was held . . . The funeral rites
were conducted by Rev. J. M. Campbell and her body was committed to the earth in Oak
Hill Cemetery.
