Clarence Gloger

1902 - 1972

 

Clarence G. Gloger, 70, of 318 East Green Street, died August 31, 1972, at Watertown Memorial Hospital.  He had been confined to the hospital for the past two weeks and underwent surgery a week ago.

 

The funeral was at the Schmutzler Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Tull, of the First Congregation Church officiated.  Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.  Military rites at the grave were conducted by the firing squad of the Pitterle-Beaudoin Post No. 189 of the American Legion.

 

Gloger was born in Watertown June 28, 1902, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gust Gloger.

 

He was employed for many years in the office of the Village Blacksmith and was also employed at Brandt Inc.  He was a member of the Congregational Church, was a member and officer of the Knights of Pythias and also belonged to the American Legion Post here.

 

He was a veteran of World War II.

 

For the past eight years he made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Emil Ruegg.

 

Surviving are one cousin, William Volchman, South Milwaukee, and numerous other relatives. He never married. -

 

He was preceded in death in 1918 by a brother, William.

 

Following his retirement, he enjoyed the hobby of gardening and always took great pride in his garden.
