Miss Helen Frey

Miss Helen Frey, youngest daughter of Charles E. Frey and wife, died on Sunday evening, February 28, 1915, at the family home, 400 North Third Street, the cause of her death being an acute attack of diabetes.
Deceased was born in this city May 7, 1900, and has resided here all her life. She was an active member of the Y.P.S. of the Congregational church and a member of the sophomore class in the Watertown High school.
Wednesday afternoon her funeral took place from her late home, Rev. N. C. Daniell of the Congregational church conducted the services. The interment was in Oak Hill cemetery.
The sophomore class of the high school attended the funeral in a body and marched from the home to the cemetery.
The news of Miss Frey’s death was a great shock to her family and friends, for her illness extended over a period of only a few days, and but few of her friends knew that she was ill.
She possessed a sweet and cheerful disposition, and her quaint and charming manner made her a favorite with all who knew her. Gentle and generous of heart, she gave promise of a most beautiful womanhood, and to the bereaved parents and sisters there must certainly be consolation in the thought that it is of such as she the kingdom of heaven is made.
May the Great Father of all bring peace and consolation to the suffering hearts of the bereaved parents and sisters is the prayer of The Gazette, a sentiment that is echoed and re-echoed by their hosts of friends in Watertown and vicinity.
