Carl L. (Cap) Block,
89, 210 South Second Street, passed away Sunday evening at the Heritage Rest
Horne in Beaver Dam from the infirmities of age.
Funeral services
will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Pederson Funeral Home with Rev. Rudolph
Schulze of the Watertown Moravian Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakhill
Cemetery.
Friends and relatives may call to pay their respects at the funeral home Tuesday from 3 to 9 p.m. and until the time of Services Wednesday.
Block was born Jan. 20, 1885 in Milwaukee, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Block. He was a lifelong resident of Watertown. He was employed as a paper cutter at the Ira L. Henry Company until his retirement in 1954.
Block married the former Gertrude Kohli Sept. 8, 1918 in Watertown with Rev. Arthur Schwarze of the Moravian Church officiating. He was a member of the Watertown Moravian Church, the Watertown Turners, Lincoln Lodge No. 20 of the Knights of Pythias and the Plattdeutscher Verein.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Summers of Plymouth, Mich., three brothers, George, Hugo and Ervin, all of Watertown, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, son-in-law, one brother and one sister.
