Otto W. Biefeld,
92, of Oconomowoc, formerly of Watertown, passed away Friday morning, Nov. 21,
2008 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at
11 a.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown,
with the Rev. Anthony Schultz and the Rev. Mark Gartner of St. Luke's Lutheran
Church officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill
Cemetery in Watertown.
A visitation will be at the funeral home on
Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested
to St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Watertown or AngelsGrace
Hospice in Oconomowoc.
Otto William Biefeld
was born in Watertown on Jan. 12, 1916, son of Otto and Emma (Schiefelbein) Biefeld. On July 16, 1938, he married Pearl A. Lindemann at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Watertown.
He attended Watertown High School and had
been employed as a salesman for Better Made Ice Cream Co. and Keystone Ice
Cream Co. He had also been in sales with
Mrs. Drenks Potatoe Chip
Company and was a custodian for the Watertown Unified School System at the
Riverside Middle School.
Otto was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran
Church and served on various boards and committees. He was also a member of AARP and the former Wethonkitha Club in Watertown. He volunteered with the Meals on Wheels
program and FISH in Watertown.
Otto loved hunting and horses.
He is survived by his daughters, Patti Biefeld and Kathy Biefeld, both
of Oconomowoc; a son, Kenneth (Nancy) Biefeld of
Waukesha; five grandchildren, Matthew (Stacey) Biefeld,
Mark (Jennifer) Biefeld, Kari (Lou) Savath, Kraig (Christine) Biefeld,
Souane Biefeld; a
step-grandson, Robert; nine great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Irene Biefeld of Pardeeville; a sister-in-law, Gladys (Mike) Frentzel of Jefferson, nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends and Otto's special dog companion, Danny.
Otto was preceded in death by his parents;
his wife, Pearl Biefeld on Dec. 29, 2000; a son, Gerald Biefeld on
Dec. 26, 2005; brothers, Lester, John, George; and sisters, Lillian Beisner and Betty Huber.
He was the last member of his immediate
family.
