03 30 A SMALL RED COW
STRAYED. Came
into the enclosures of the subscriber on Mr. Lavy’s
farm in the southwest part of the town of Watertown, about 7 miles from the
city, on the 18th of March, a small red cow, with a knob on one horn, and
giving a little milk. The owner is
requested to prove property, pay charges and take her away. – Thomas Brooks WD

05 04 FIRE AT THOMAS BROOKS HOME
Last Sunday afternoon a couch at the home of Thos.
Brooks, West Main Street, took fire from a lighted match carelessly thrown
aside, and but for its timely discovery, a serious fire might have been the
result. The fire was communicated to
other articles of furniture in the room, the loss being about $20. WG

FUNERAL CAR
