Weber - Hilgendorf

1902

An interesting matrimonial event took place at 7 o'clock on Wednesday evening, November 12, 1902, at the parsonage of St. Henry's Catholic Church, where Rev. Father La Boule united in marriage Charles Hilgendorf and Miss Clara Weber.

Oscar Weber, brother of the bride, and her aunt, Miss Mollie Ruesch, were groomsmen and bridesmaids.

A reception followed the marriage ceremony at the home of the bride's parents in 6th street.

At 11 o'clock the same evening the bride and groom took the 11 o'clock train for Chicago, where they will pass a portion of their honeymoon, and then return to this city and go to housekeeping in a home already prepared by the groom in 6th street.

The groom is a salesman in the general store of Brandt & Son, and. has resided in Watertown all his life. He is a general favorite here, and is a most worthy young man.

His bride is a daughter of Wm. Weber and wife, old and respected residents of Watertown. She is one of the most amiable of young ladies, and is accomplished and well-versed in everything that tends to make her a graceful and useful member of society, as well as qualifies her for presiding over a peaceful and happy home, which all friends of this well-known young couple feel assured they will have.

The Gazette joins their many friends in extending congratulations on this gladsome occasion.

They will be at home to their friends after January 1st.
