Roffeis - Wilde

(1948)

 

Miss Sylvia Roffeis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Roffeis, route 1, and Harold H. Wilde, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wilde, 1104 Center Street, were united in marriage July 13, 1948, at St. Henry's. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. H. Foltz. Mr. Roffeis presented his daughter in marriage.

 

The bride chose as her matron of honor, Mrs. Oscar Schmutzler.

 

Bridal aides were Mrs. Ervin Mundt and Miss Geraldine Riedl, Jefferson, cousins of the bride.

 

Junior bridesmaids were Margaret Ann Wilde, sister of the groom, and Mary Lou Hoffer, cousin of the bride.

 

Flower girl was Carol Sue Elliott, cousin of the groom, Milwaukee.

 

Clarence Roffeis, brother of the bride, was Mr. Wilde's best man, while groomsmen were Ervin Mundt and Larry Richter.  Ronald Nuernberg and Kenneth Henze ushered.

 

The groom attended the local high school and during World War II saw five years of service. He was employed at Brandt Automatic Cashier Co.

 

Mr. Wilde and his bride are residing at 604 Cole Street.
