Watertown Gazette, 09 18 1908
John Carey and Miss
Elizabeth Kioes were united in marriage at 9 o'clock
on Tuesday morning, Sept. 15, 1908, by Rev. Father Schweitzer at St. Henry's
Catholic Church in the presence of a large congregation. Wm. Carey, brother of the groom, and Miss Mary
Kioes, sister of the bride, attended the happy
couple. The bride was gowned in white
silk mull, and the bridesmaid in white mull. After the church services were concluded a
reception was held at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Theresa Kioes, 216 Cole Street, only relatives and intimate friends
being present. The groom is one of Watertown's
best known young men. He carries the mail for Uncle Sam
between the railway stations and the post office. His bride is also popular with a large acquaintance
and shares with her husband the good wishes of all our people for their future
happiness.
