Jones - Pauly

1913

An interesting matrimonial event took place at St. Henry's Catholic Church on Thursday morning, April 10, 1913, when Miss Olive Howe Jones, daughter of Mrs. Robert Jones of this city, and William H. Pauly of Manitowoc, member of the firm of Pauly & Pauly, cheese dealers, were united in marriage by Rev. J. W. Nellen of Beaver Dam.

A nuptial Maas was celebrated, and the bridal party entered the church to the strains of Lohengrins wedding march, Prof. S. S. Mullen officiating at the organ.

Miss Stella Hertel was maid of honor, and Charles Pauly, brother of the groom, was best man.

The bride wore a gown of brocaded chiffon over crepe charmeuse and carried bridal roses. The maid of honor wore embroidered chiffon over white silk and carried pink sweet peas.

After the wedding service's breakfast was served at the home of the bride's mother in Western Avenue, only the bridal party and immediate relatives being present.

The groom and his bride left on an afternoon train for a two weeks trip through the east, at the conclusion of which they will go to housekeeping in Manitowoc.

The bride has passed most of her life in Watertown.  She is a graduate of the Watertown High School and is known to most of our people. She is a most charming young lady, and her: many friends are pleased to learn that she has secured one of the very best of husbands.
