Hertel - Reamer

1952

 

At a nuptial high mass on June 28, 1952, Elizabeth J. Hertel, and Leo S. Reamer exchanged marriage vows. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Anthony Herrmann in St. Henry's Catholic Church.

 

The bride was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Hertel, route 4, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Reamer, route 6.

 

The bride was presented in marriage by her father.

 

Maid of honor was Lucille Hertel, cousin of the bride.  Bridesmaid was Mrs. Emil Pirkel, sister of the groom. Sandra Pirkel, niece of the groom was junior bridesmaid. Flower girl was Bonnie Kay Johnson.

 

William Hertel, brother of the bride, was best man, with Emil Pirkel, brother-in-law of the groom, as his other attendant. Ned Pautz, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer. Forrest Pautz ushered.

 

The children's choir, accompanied by the organist, Theresa Klecker, sang the mass. Clarence Kapheim, the soloist, sang "Ave Maria", "Mother at Your Feet are Keeping" and "On This Day, Oh Beautiful Mother".

 

The groom was a graduate of the Lake Mills High School while the bride was a graduate of Johnson Creek High.
