George H. Bush

United in Ceremony

At a solemn high nuptial mass performed in St. Bernard's Catholic Church on June 2 Miss Marie A. Fendt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isadore E. Fendt, 604 Hancock street, became the bride of George H. Bush, son of Mrs. A. Bush, 424 1/2 North Washington street.

 

Officiating priest was the Rev. James Gallagan, C.S.C., assisted by the Rev. George Meagher, C.S.C., the Rev. John Devers, C.S.C., and the Rev. A. H. Foltz. The solemn high mass was sung by the choir of St. Henry's church under the direction of R. M Hahn. The bride's uncle, Frederick Fendt, sang the offertory solo, "Ave Maria."

 

Miss Arline G. Sharpe, Chicago, IL, was maid of honor while Miss Irene Scheiber, cousin of the bride, and Miss Violet Hackbarth, friend of the bride, were bridesmaids.

 

The two flower girls were Sandra Lee Warren, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Warren, and Miss Madaline Benes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Benes.

 

Joseph Fendt, brother of the bride, attended Mr. Bush as best man.  His two other attendants were Arthur Bush and Peter Hockbain. Robert Bush and Ruben Dehnert ushered.

 

Mr. Bush, who attended David Rankin School in St. Louis, MO, was the operator of the Streamline tavern. His wife, a graduate of Watertown High School, was formerly employed at Warren’s Jewelry store.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bush resided at 604 Hancock Street.
