Rose Marie Welsch

1924 - 2003

 

 

Rose Marie Welsch, 79, of Watertown, died June 19, 2003, at Watertown Memorial Hospital.

 

Funeral services were held at St. Henry’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Family burial took place on in Calvary Cemetery, Milwaukee.

 

The Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service served the family.

 

Rose Marie was born on January 25, 1924, in Watertown, the daughter of Bernard and Marguerite (Kiefer) Welsch. She graduated from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She had taught school for 41 years in Cashton, Williams Bay, East Troy, Waukesha and Watertown.

 

After her retirement, Rose Marie lived with the Lester family and helped to raise their children, Rachel, Kathryn and Kristin.

 

Rose Marie traveled extensively.
