Herbert W. Toebe, 93, of Watertown, passed away
on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, at Marquardt Health Center.
A memorial service
will be held on Monday at 3 p.m. at Hafemeister
Funeral Home in Watertown with Father Miroslaw Szynal of St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown officiating.
Burial will take place at St. Henry Catholic Cemetery in
Watertown. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday from 2
p.m. until the time of the service.
Memorials, if
desired, may be directed to American Legion Post 189 or VFW Post 3709. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown
is serving the family.
Herbert William Toebe was born on Aug. 6, 1924, in Watertown, the son of
Otto and Hilda (nee Ptachinski) Toebe.
He attended St. Henry Grade School and
was a graduate of Watertown High School. Herb served in the United States Navy during
World War II. He was a lifelong
member of the American Legion Post 189 and VFW Post 3709. H erb
loved hunting, fishing, golfing and reading. He was very social and a great friend to all.
He is survived by
two sisters, Elaine (Victor) Howard of Damascus, Maryland, and Marion Rummler of Sturtevant; four sisters-in-law, Faye Toebe, Jane Toebe, Shirley Toebe and Myrtle Toebe; as well
as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
He was preceded in
death by his parents and brothers, Leonard Toebe,
Kenneth Toebe, Lester Toebe
and Eugene Toebe.
