Arnold Steinhorst

1911-2003

Arnold H. Steinhorst, 91, of Watertown, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2003, at Marquardt Memorial Manor. Funeral services were held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church and burial was in Lutheran Cemetery.

Arnold was born on Aug. 26, 1911, in Bird Island, Minn., the son of Gustav and Helen (Draeger) Steinhorst. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II in Guam in the Pacific Theater. On Jan. 24, 1942, he married the former Ruth Hady at St. Henry Catholic Church. He and his wife had been owners of the former Riverside Poultry Farm. Arnold was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and a former member of AARP No. 3056. He had served as a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Society.
