Emily T
Schultz, 96, of Watertown, formerly of 1322 S. Ninth St., Watertown, died
Monday morning, July 3, 2006, at Marquardt Memorial Manor in Watertown.
Funeral
services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hafemeister
Funeral Home in Watertown with the Rev. Bernard Rott
of St. Henry’s Catholic Church officiating.
Burial will be in St.
Henry’s Catholic Cemetery in Watertown.
Memorials
may be directed to St. Henry’s.
She
was born Nov. 21, 1909, in Kadoka, S.D., the daughter of Jacob and Mary (Halla)
Rothschadl. On April 28, 1943, she married
Clarence "Jim" Schultz at St. Henry’s. She attended Watertown High School. During World War II, she was employed as an
airplane manufacturer in California while her husband fought with the U.S.
Army. Emily and her husband had operated
the former Sharp
Corner Inn in Watertown.
Emily
was a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Watertown, the Christian Mothers
Society and the Catholic Women's Club.
She was also a member of AARP No. 2007, the Funster's Club, the
Watertown Senior Citizens Center and the American Legion Auxiliary Post No.
189. She volunteered at Beverly Terrace
and enjoyed being with people. She was
very proud of her country and flew the American flag daily, weather permitting,
Emily had a wonderful sense of humor and loved animals.
