Ottillia Scheideler

1872 - 1950

 

Mrs. Henry Scheideler, 77, of 501 North Sixth Street, died on July 2, 1950.

 

She was the former Ottillia Hahn and was born in the town of Oakland, Jefferson County, on November 4, 1872, a daughter Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Hahn. She grew up on a farm east of Jefferson.

 

Until her marriage to Mr. Scheideler she had lived in the Jefferson area, then lived in Madison and Columbus. She was a music teacher for many years. Mr. Scheideler died in 1941 and in 1942 she came to Watertown to make her home, after residing in Jefferson.

 

Mrs. Scheideler had served as organist of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jefferson and in a similar capacity at the Catholic church in Columbus during her residence there.

 

She was a member of St. Henry's and of the Christian Mothers' Confraternity.

 

Interment in St. Henry's Cemetery. The Rev. Joseph Brechtl officiated at the funeral Mass.
