Henry Scheblak
1874-1950
Henry Scheblak, 76, local florist and a life-long resident of
this community, died
He was born here
on
Surviving are
three daughters: Mrs. Fred Dorn of Hartland, Mrs. Arthur Droese
of Neosho and Mrs. Lawrence Mastenbrook of West
Allis; five grandchildren; one brother, Carl Scheblak
of Los Angeles Calif.; and one sister, Mrs. John Reinehr
of Moorhead, Minn.
For many years Mr.
Scheblak had been engaged in the painting business in
Watertown. At one time he was associated with Charles David, operating under
the partnership of David & Scheblak. Later he
formed a partnership with Paul Herzog, the firm being known as Scheblak & Herzog. In 1920, due to ill health, he left
his trade to establish a greenhouse. He had been in the floral business
continuously since that time.
Mr. Scheblak was interested in community affairs, and at one
time was a member of the park board. He was a man of sterling character and high
principles.
He was a member of
the Order of Foresters.
Funeral services
were at St. Henry's Church and burial was in St. Henry's Cemetery.
