Paul S. Richter, 73, of Watertown, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Golden LivingCenter in Watertown.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church with Father Brian Wilk officiating. Burial will be in St. Henry Cemetery.
Family and friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service and on Tuesday after 10 a.m. at the church.
Paul S. Richter was born on Nov. 24, 1936, in Watertown, son of Herbert and Leona (Meitner) Richter. Paul attended St. Henry Grade School [1951 graduate] and was a 1955 graduate of Watertown Senior High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959-61 and was stationed in Alaska. Paul had been employed by the former Donahue Motors and Wisconsin Natural Gas Company. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and Catholic Knights.
Paul enjoyed working on the farm, mowing lawn and taking long drives.
Survivors include his children, Patrick (Elsa) Richter of Watertown, John (Kristin) Richter of Watertown and Kristine Richter of Madison; 12 grandchildren, Brandon, Melinda, Ashley, Neveah, Isabelle, Dylan, Nathan, Michael, Nadena, Courtney, Kory and Cody; his brothers and sister, Robert (Elaine) Richter, James (Shirley) Richter and Delores Richter, all of Watertown; a nephew, Michael; other relatives and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by two sons, Charles and Todd Richter, and his parents.
