Margaret Pfeifer
1916 - 2008
Margaret A. Pfeifer, 92, of Watertown, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Marquardt Memorial Manor.
The former Margaret A. Kreiziger was born on Jan. 4, 1916, in Watertown, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Scheiber) Kreiziger. She graduated from St. Henry Grade School, Watertown High School, Mount Mary College and Marquette University.
On Oct. 4, 1952, she married George M. Pfeifer at St. Henry Catholic Church, and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1971.
Margaret had taught at St. Mary's Academy in Prairie du Chien and Watertown High School. Margaret was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. She had also been a member of Catholic Women's Club, Family Aid board, St. Henry's Christian Mothers and Altar Confraternity, Wisconsin Council of Catholic Women, Saturday Club, Catholic Knights Branch No. 120, Watertown Hospital Auxiliary, Watertown Senior and Community Center and AARP Chapter No. 2007. She had been a trustee and treasurer for St. Henry Church and secretary of St. Henry Cemetery Association for many years.
Survivors include four cousins, Alice Scheiber, Irene Scheiber, Mary (William) Schultz and Bernie Finley, all of Watertown; her dear friends, Ken and Dolly Wetzel and family of Watertown; other relatives and friends.
She was further preceded in death by her parents; a stepdaughter, Bernice Moss; and a stepson, LeRoy Pfeifer.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church with Father Brian Wilk officiating. Burial will be in St. Henry’s Cemetery.
Friends and family may call at the church on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m.
