Sophia Oestreicher

1902 - 1990

 

Sophia A. Oestreicher, 88, a resident of Beverly Terrace Nursing Home and formerly of 112 Stimpson St., Watertown, died November 13, 1990 at Watertown Memorial Hospital.

 

Funeral services held at the Hafemeister Funeral Home and at St. Henry's Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Richel officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.

 

Oestreicher was born November 4, 1902 in Mayville, daughter of Anthony and Ida Oestreicher. She was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church, its Christian Mothers and Altar Confraternity, and a former member of the Watertown Funster Club and Kitchen Band. She had been employed at Booth and Mid-States shoe companies.

 

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mabel Oestreicher of Watertown; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. She was the last member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers.
