Myrtle Neis

1919 - 2002

 

Myrtle R. Neis, 82, of 1148 Bayberry Drive, Watertown, died on March 26, 2002, following a traffic accident.

 

Funeral services were held at St. Henry Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial was in St. Bernard's Cemetery.

 

Donations or memorials were to be made to the American Nurses Association Scholarship Fund.

 

The former Myrtle R. Petran was born June 30, 1919, in Schiocton, the daughter of Frederick and Claire (Worth) Petran. She was a graduate of Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing.  In her final 12 years of her nursing career she was employed at Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown.

 

On August 1, 1942, she married William R. Neis in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1991. Myrtle was a member of St. Henry’s, the Saturday Club, Watertown Senior and Community Center, Christian Mothers and Altar Confraternity, Catholic Women's Club, AARP.
