Catherine Michelt

1865-1950

 

 

Mrs. Catherine Michelt, 84, 806 Harrison Street, died May 3, 1950.

 

Born in Watertown on Aug. 11, 1855, she was the former Catherine Zeitler, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Laborius Zeitler. She had lived in Watertown all of her life.

 

She was married to Bernard Michelt on May 2, 1905. He preceded her in death.

 

Surviving were two daughters, the Misses Eleanora M. Michelt and Irene T. Michelt, both at home. There was one brother, Albert Zeitler, Watertown.

 

Mrs. Michelt was one of the city's old and well known residents and was a devout and faithful member of St. Henry's Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Christian Mothers Confraternity and the Rosary Sodality.

 

The Rev. A. H. Foltz officiated and interment was in St. Henry's Cemetery.
