A. Mattecheck Dies Thursday

 

Mrs. Euper’s Brother Dead At Age of 78

Alloys H. Mattecheck, 78, residing at 617 South First Street, died at 11 am yesterday in St. Mary’s hospital following a long illness.

 

He was born in Watertown on Jan 20, 1871, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mattecheck.

 

In 1885 he moved with his parents to South Dakota.  Since 1827, when he returned here, he had lived with his sister, Mrs. Annette Euper, widow of Peter J Euper.

 

Besides his sister he is survived by three brothers, Frank and Joseph, Webster, SD, and Mathias W, residing in McMinville, Ore.

 

Friends may call at the Boyle funeral home this evening.

 

Shortly after midnight the body will be taken by train to Webster, SD. where funeral services will be held in St. Otto’s Catholic church and interment in the parish cemetery where Mr. Mattecheck’s parents are buried.
