Timothy Loeffler

1829 - 1902

 

Timothy Loeffler, aged 72, died of catarrh of the stomach at his home at 905 Clark Street last week.

 

He was a native of Germany and when he first came to America located at Albany, New York, where he was married.  Two years later he came to Wisconsin and settled on a farm in the town of Milford, from where he removed to this city about twelve years ago.

 

His funeral was held from St. Henry’s Church and his remains were interred in St. Henry’s Cemetery.

 

His wife and six children survive him, his children being (only 5 listed):

Mr. Loeffler was one of Watertown’s best-known and most respected citizens.  He was one of the very best men and was greatly beloved by a large acquaintance.  His death is sincerely mourned.
