Harry J. Lafler

1955 - 2006

 

 

Harry J. Lafler, 50, of Watertown, died unexpectedly August 15, 2006, at Watertown Memorial Hospital.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with the Rev. Kathleen Kasper of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of Watertown officiating.

 

Burial will be in St. Henry’s Catholic Cemetery in Watertown.

 

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or to the charity of one's choice.

 

He was born Oct. 5, 1955, in Watertown, the son of William F. and Josephine "Josie" (Schultz) Lafler. He married Lori Erickson on March 26, 1993, in Las Vegas, Nev. He attended Watertown High School and had been employed at the Custom Shoppe in Watertown. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed camping, landscaping and flowers. He loved his children and grand-daughter.

 

Survivors include his wife, Lori Lafler of Watertown; two daughters, Jennifer Lafler of Richmond, Va., and Ashlee Erickson of Watertown; a grand-daughter, MacKenzi Erickson; his twin brother, Jerry (Marianne) Lafler of Watertown; brothers, David (Vicki Duhr) Schultz of Green Lake and Michael (Kathy) Lafler of Watertown; his father and mother-in-law, Mark and Judy Erickson of Watertown; a brother-in-law, Herman "John" Wickert of Ohio; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Jo Wickert, and a brother, Virgil Lafler.
