Marian F. Kreuziger
1933- 2017
BLAIR — Marian F. Kreuziger, 84, of Blair, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at Grand View Care Center, Blair.
She was born June 25, 1933, to the late Sylvester and Marcella (Roark) Thoma in Watertown. Marian grew up in the Watertown area and graduated from Watertown High School with the class of 1951. She married Roman Kreuziger June 30, 1951, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown. He preceded her in death on Dec. 16, 2008. Together, they lived in Watertown until 1973 and moved to Waukesha until 1993. She liked old time and country music, needle point, cooking and sewing. Marian made wonderful pies, especially cherry. It was not unusual for there to be four varieties of pie to sample on the Christmas table. Family was most important to her; she was a tireless and devoted caregiver for her son Alan for 43 years.
Marian is survived by her five sons: Gary (Betty) Kreuziger of Waukesha, Randy Kreuziger of De Pere, Jeffrey (Julie) Kreuziger of Waukesha, Rick (Jess) Kreuziger of Merrillan and Alan Kreuziger of De Pere; her seven grandchildren: Carly, Carissa, Justin, Lori, Amy, Milo and Nick; and her six great-grandchildren: Ethan, Kendyl, Kiersten, Taylor, Adriana and Daniel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roman; parents, Sylvester and Marcella Thoma; three
sisters, Florence (Gerald) Riedl, Helen (Donald) Quest and Elizabeth (Robert) Quest; and an infant brother.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held at noon on Saturday at St. Henry Catholic Church, Watertown, with Father Miroslaw Szynal officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to call at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of Mass.
