Marilyn A. Kohls
1938 - 2017
Marilyn A. Kohls, 79, of Watertown, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown with Father Alex Carmel officiating. Burial will take place at St. Henry Catholic Cemetery.
Marilyn Ann Koser was born on Feb. 18, 1938, in Watertown, the daughter of Herbert and Viola (nee Sellnow) Koser. She was a 1956 graduate of Watertown High School and frequently coordinated the reunions.
On May 22, 1965, she was united in marriage to Aaron Kohls at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown. Aaron preceded her in death on May 29, 1993. Marilyn had been employed at Eaton Corp. for 27 1/2 years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, where she volunteered her time as offering counter. She also was a member of the Watertown Senior Center. She enjoyed playing cards and dominoes and browsing the web. Marilyn liked taking bus trips and socializing with friends. She loved her family dearly and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.
Marilyn was very empathetic and always had an ear for those wanting to talk.
Marilyn is survived by two children, Joseph (Marlys) Kohls of Menomonee Falls and Cory (Heather) Kohls of Stone Bank; two grandchildren, Erica Kohls and Christopher Kohls; brother, Alfred Koser of Jefferson; as well as other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Koser.
