Wednesday morning, December 20, 1899, Michael Kioes, died suddenly of heart disease at his home, 702 North Fourth Street.  The night before he retired in apparently good health and in the morning his wife found him in a dying condition.  He died before medical aid could be called in.  He was a carpenter by trade, and was a member of Branch 120, Catholic Knights of Wisconsin, in which order he carried an insurance of $2000.  Friday morning at 9 o’clock his funeral was held for St. Henry’s church.  His wife and eight children survive him.
