Harry A. Kellerman

1873 - 1963

Harry A. Kellerman, 90, one of Watertown's well known and respected residents, died early today at St. Mary's Hospital.  Death was due to general infirmities.  His home was at 200 1/2 North Third Street.

 

Mr. Kellerman, who was a retired businessman, was born in Juneau on August 4, 1873, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kellerman.  He had lived in Watertown for 65 years.

 

Mr. Kellerman was married to Miss Anna Molzahn at St. Henry's Catholic Church on Sept. 3, 1902.  They observed their 60th wedding anniversary last year.  There was a special anniversary mass in their apartment on that occasion, celebrated by the Very Rev. A. J. Herrmann of St. Henry's Church.  He also conveyed to them at that time a special papal blessing to help mark the occasion of their 60 years of married life and at that time they repeated their marriage vows.

 

Surviving Mr. Kellerman are his wife; two sons, Edgar and Frank C. Kellerman, who operate the Kellerman Agency here; a daughter, Mrs. George Cheesemore, Madison; seven grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.  Mr. Kellerman was the last member of his immediate family.

 

Mr. Kellerman was a member of St. Henry's Church and the Holy Name Society.

 

The funeral will be held on Thursday from the Schmutzler Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m., followed by a requiem mass at the church at 10 a.m., the Rev. David Runde officiating.

 

Interment will be in St. Henry's Cemetery.

 

Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home from 3 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and also Thursday before the funeral.

 

The parish and Holy Name rosary vigil will be Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock.
